Upper Level Classes
Intermediate and Advanced Levels require instructor approval to ensure the integrity of those higher levels. All pointe students are required to take a minimum of 2 additional technique classes per week. Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Contemporary or Lyrical classes may be taken to fulfill this requirement.
Even non-dancers enjoy a workout. Come try our 6-Week Saturday Series. We offer dance classes for all ages, three through adult. See the schedule for more information on dates and times.
Jazz, Tap, and Ballet classes are offered for ages 4-8. This is a good way to have your child try various forms of dance. Ballet is suggested for all young dancers, as it is the foundation of all dance forms. Classes then progress from 30-45 minutes a class, to an hour. Our Creative Movement/TinyTap class offers ballet, jazz and tap as a combination for 3-5 year olds. We do offer 90 & 60 minute Combination classes such as, (Ballet 30 min, Jazz 30 min, Tap 30 min), where a dancer can take multiple classes for a lesser price. Combo class ages are 4-6 yrs. and 5-8 yrs.
By Audition Only. All team members are required to take a Ballet class as well as one other technique class (jazz, contemporary, lyrical, or modern) at Danceworks, as well as their scheduled team practice. Competition Team Members will compete at 2-3 competitions a year and perform around town at local venues. Joining the performance team will help your child to gain self-confidence, learn responsibility, teamwork, and stage presence, and show their love for dance.
